Russell Volksen is a photographer focusing on the American West, with an emphasis on landscape and post-war architecture. He is interested and captivated by the ongoing transformation of the American landscape, lately in the form of Data Centers, Distribution Hubs, Mixed-Use Retail, and Housing Developments. What was here before and what replaced it. He is drawn photograph scenes of landscaped walkways, blank walls, and exit doors. He contributed photos to Investigations in Infrastructure published by Subjectively Objective and self published a collection of road side images entitled, Stop and Rest.
